Northwell Career Site is seeking an experienced registered nurse for a 13-week contract. The role involves delivering age-specific nursing care using the nursing process, collaborating with physicians, and leading the care unit team to ensure safe, effective procedures and treatments.

The nurse will assess patients’ physiologic and psychosocial health, develop outcomes, coordinate the plan of care, implement treatments, and participate in discharge planning.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (ADN required).
• BSN preferred.
• 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
• Current RN license in New York State and/or Connecticut; BLS required; ACLS as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Assess physiologic health status and review patient chart.
• Develop and implement a plan of care with priorities.
• Administer medications and monitor for safety and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with physicians and health team; document care plan and outcomes.
• Provide discharge planning and patient/family education where appropriate.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and adjust care plans as needed.
