Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 12-week assignment in Fallon, NV. You will deliver advanced respiratory care, evaluate patients, and collaborate with physicians and a clinical team to ensure effective treatment plans.

Required credentials include an active NBRC-registered RRT, state license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred. The role offers competitive pay, travel stipends, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC RRT credential required.
• Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
• Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples.
• Treat patients through therapies and medications including chest physiotherapy and aerosols.
• Set up and monitor oxygen delivery at correct flow rates and concentrations.
• Observe and record patient status and progress; report changes to the team.
• Work with multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on medication use and equipment.
