Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for a 15-week travel assignment in Hackensack, NJ. The role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.

As part of the team, you will assess and treat patients with pulmonary disorders in hospital settings, collaborate with physicians, and provide patient education.

Requirements include NBRC RRT, NJ license, BLS, and at least one year of experience; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
• Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
• Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples.
• Treat patients through methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications.
• Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery.
• Observe and record patient status and progress.
• Educate patients and/or family members on medication use and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned within RRT practice.
