Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment at a facility in Odessa, TX. You’ll provide advanced respiratory care to patients with complex disorders, working with a dedicated clinical team and enjoying comprehensive benefits.

Qualified candidates have 1 year of RRT experience, NBRC RRT credential, TX license, and BLS certification. ACLS/PALS are preferred; other certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
• Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans
• Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders
• Perform diagnostic tests (lung capacity, blood/sputum samples)
• Treat patients with chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications
• Set up and monitor oxygen delivery at correct rate
• Observe and record patient status and progress
• Work with multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care
• Educate patients and families on medication use and equipment
• Perform other duties within the RRT scope
