Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in New Orleans, LA. The position runs 13 weeks with 12-hour day shifts and a total of 36 hours per week, plus a tax-free stipend; the start date is 11/30/2026 and relocation/licensing support is available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient and recommend a treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Document timely and accurate patient information.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
