Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a float position across Marlborough, University, and Memorial campuses. The role requires Level I trauma and critical care experience and is based on night shifts.

Candidates must hold MA RRT license, be BLS and RRT certified, with NICU and ABG interpretation experience preferred; travel-friendly with per diem and housing support.

Qualifications

  • Active MA state RRT license required in hand.
  • Minimum 2 years of RRT experience.
  • Level I trauma facility experience required.
  • Critical care/acute care experience required.
  • NICU experience preferred.
  • BLS and RRT certification required; NRP preferred.
  • ABG interpretation and arterial blood gas drawing experience required.
  • Tracheostomy care, airway management, and suctioning experience required.
  • Chest physiotherapy and nebulizer treatments experience required.
  • Two professional references required, one of which must be a Nurse Manager or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Float position covering Marlborough, University, and Memorial campuses within 20 minutes of each other.
  • Memorial campus has NICU; floating to all campuses is expected.
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours; Marlborough 5:45p-6:15a, Med Center 6:45p-7:15a.
  • EOW/EOH scheduling pattern.
  • Work in adult critical care, emergency department, and NICU settings.
  • Perform neonatal/pediatric respiratory procedures including CPAP and intubation assist.
  • Manage ventilators including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-frequency oscillators.
  • Provide respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports.
  • Participate in external patient transports as needed.
  • Complete a Pass/Fail EKG test as part of orientation requirements.

  • Manages ventilators including BiPAP, CPAP, and high frequency oscillators
  • Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
  • Provide respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations as needed
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports
  • Perform medication delivery via various administration devices and systems
  • Participate in external patient transports as needed
  • Complete a Pass/Fail EKG test as part of orientation requirements
  • Local candidates accepted with the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
  • Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
  • Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week
