Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift at an academic teaching hospital in Allentown, PA. The role requires at least 1 year of Level III NICU experience and current RRT certification.

You will provide specialized neonatal respiratory care and collaborate with a Level IV NICU team. This position offers a 3x12 schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), no on-call, and opportunities for first-time travelers within a 50-mile radius; PA fingerprinting and clearances

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Level III NICU or higher or 1 year in PICU.
• RRT certification required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• PA Respiratory Care Practitioner license required, if applicable.
• Proficiency with Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, extubation, and intubation assist.
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration.
• PA fingerprints and Childline clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Level IV NICU with 40 beds at an academic teaching hospital.
• Provides neonatal intensive care including on-site neonatal surgery and 24/7 neonatology coverage.
• May float between neonatal and pediatric units depending on facility need.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• No on-call requirement.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Scrubs provided.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
• Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at a reduced rate.
• RTO requests must be submitted prior to consideration, as late requests cannot be accommodated.
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Planned time off must not interfere with completion of pre-start compliance requirements.
• Works within a Level IV NICU team providing care for critically ill and extremely premature infants.
