Job summary

HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week internal travel assignment at various Phoenix locations. You will operate all respiratory care equipment, perform ABG and co-oximetry, and support critical care units with ventilator management and patient assessments.

Responsibilities include therapy administration, documentation, and participation in urgent care situations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in AMA-approved Respiratory Care program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and monitors respiratory care equipment and procedures in general and critical care areas.
• Transcribes physician orders and documents results in medical records.
• Vents management, arterial blood gas analysis, co-oximetry, ECGs, electrolytes, and pulmonary function testing.
• Performs routine respiratory therapies including aerosol therapy, oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and suctioning.
• Examines patient charts, verifies orders, and ensures correct patient identification.
• Participates in resuscitations and trauma coverage as assigned.
• Documents therapies, tests, and patient responses timely in EMR or paper records.

Education

Associates degree in Respiratory Care

Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care (preferred)
