Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for assignment in Charleston, West Virginia. The role covers 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts on a travel contract of 13 weeks, starting 11/10/2026.

You will collaborate with physicians, registered nurses and other therapists to develop and implement the patient plan of care, including care during the COVID-19 crisis. The opportunity offers a competitive package, health insurance coverage, 401K matching, licensing

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• At least 2 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Performing timely and accurate documentation.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
