Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Silver Spring, Maryland. This contract assignment runs for 13 weeks with 40 hours per week and a day shift.

The role requires delivering respiratory care, collaborating with physicians and nurses, and ensuring patient safety during the COVID-19 crisis. Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families
• Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Performing timely and accurate documentation.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
