Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Mason City, Iowa. The role involves 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts, traveling to facilities and providing respiratory care. The contract/stipend is contingent on location and experience.

Requirements include proven respiratory therapy experience, CPR/BCLS certification, and strong communication with staff and patients. Preference for ACLS/PALS/NALS/NRP; minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Teaching and counseling patients/families
