Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Springfield, MA. The RT will provide direct patient care across clinical areas, performing arterial sampling, evaluating treatments, and ensuring safe equipment operation during 12-hour night shifts over an 8-week period.

Requirements include 1 year of acute care experience and BLS/ACLS; PALS/NRP may be required in some settings.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• NBRC certification is required for credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Administer a variety of respiratory and cardiology therapies.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Clean, calibrate, and maintain respiratory equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per guidelines.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
