Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Cumming, GA. The RT will work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift and provide direct patient care in multiple clinical areas.

Required: 1 year acute care experience, BLS, NBRC, ACLS, PALS; NRP may be required in some locations. The role includes equipment maintenance, documentation, and collaboration with care teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience in acute care.
• Must have BLS, NBRC, ACLS, PALS; NRP may be required in some areas.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various clinical areas according to procedural guidelines.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per procedures.
• Maintain patient records/documentation.
• Calibrate, maintain, disinfect, and assemble respiratory/cardiology equipment; report malfunctions.
• Interact with nurses, physicians, and hospital staff to optimize continuum of care for patients.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
