Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cardio seeks a travel Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for a 13‑week assignment in Mattoon, Illinois beginning 05/04/2026. Duties include providing respiratory care, administering treatments, monitoring equipment, and educating patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under the guidance of physicians or RRTs.
• Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples.
• Administer respiratory treatments, including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy.
• Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery.
• Observe and record patient status and progress.
• Educate patients and/or family members on proper use of medications and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CRT practice.

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC.
• Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS or PALS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and PC skills.
