Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Active Respiratory Therapist License (Nebraska or eligible).
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS preferred, but not required.
• Experience with pediatric patients strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:8–1:10.
• Long-Term Care (LTC) / Nursing Home setting.
• Pediatric-focused unit.
• High level of independence with strong team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments, assessments, and interventions for pediatric patients.
• Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway clearance therapies.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and support resuscitation efforts when necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on respiratory care and equipment use.
