Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living seeks a Resident Care Specialist (RCS) to lead and coordinate resident care across communities, ensuring policy adherence and resident safety. The role requires extensive travel across several states and potential long assignments at individual communities.

The RCS mentors staff, supports hiring and training, and coordinates schedules while upholding regulatory licensing requirements and delivering compassionate care to seniors.

Qualifications

• Must maintain an unencumbered state nursing license (RN or LPN) in Virginia.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in DON/Director/Assisted Living leadership.
• CPR and first aid certification required.
• Ability to teach Virginia Direct Care Training Class and Medication Aide Training (or obtain).
• VirginiaUAI Certified or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Models a customer-centric care philosophy for residents and families.
• Ensures compliance with Federal and State policies governing resident care.
• Acts as care manager and resource for residents and families.
• Assesses staffing needs and ensures adequate coverage within budget.
