Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a Traveling Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Springfield, Massachusetts. This contract spans 19 weeks with a 40-hour workweek and 8-hour evening shifts, offering a field-rich experience in a hospital setting during the COVID-19 era.

The ideal candidate has proven RT experience, current CPR/BCLS certification, and strong communication with patients, families, and medical staff.

We currently have a client in Springfield, MA looking for Traveling Respiratory Therapist (RRT)! Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist to help us to provide quality patient care during this COVID 19 Crisis. As a member of the Respiratory Team, develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists. Contract Assignment – 13 Weeks (Temporary)
Shift: 5x8 Evenings

Candidates need to possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety. Being Compassionate and sensitive is a prerequisite for the profession. Requirements

• Proven experience as Repertory Therapist
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.

• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families

Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities:

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Teaching and counseling patients/families
