TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role focuses on pediatric respiratory care within a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center NICU/PEDS setting.

You will work 12-hour day shifts (0700-1900) across a 13-week contract, totaling 36 hours per week, with weekend rotation and 75% holiday coverage. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of pediatric Respiratory Therapy experience, IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience, and ED/ICU

Qualifications

• 2 years of pediatric-focused respiratory therapy with recent peds assignments
• Must specify ED or ICU level experience in offer email
• IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience
• Experience in ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, Gen Med Floors

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for pediatric patients across the facility
• Manage ventilated pediatric patients and monitor respiratory status
• Collaborate with ED, PICU, and NICU teams
• Operate department equipment and participate in onboarding and orientation

• Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Department Information:

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Will provide Respiratory care for all pediatric patients throughout facility (this is a children's hospital only)
• Neonate – Pediatric age ranges
• Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

Skills required:

• 2 years Respiratory Therapy (Resource Team) combined pediatric unit experience in the past 5 years (must've had peds only assignments, not mixed age populations)
• Please specify in offer email if candidate has ED or ICU level of experience and how much.
• IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience
• ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, Gen Med Floors

Support within the Department: Respiratory Leadership

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC (will need to test out of EPIC for faster onboarding)
• Department specific Equipment: ventilators (IPPV/NIPPV)
• Specific equipment to be discussed during interview with manager

Floating: LCH RT's will not be floated to another facility due to the specialty and needs in that facility.

Orientation (facility and unit):

• 3 days of onboarding total for ED and general floor total
• If traveler has experience with multiple intensive care units, they will have one day in each unit they will be working
• All of this will include 2 days of computer, equipment, and walking the facility to get the Client of the land

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: every other
• No call
• Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
• Shift times: 0645-1915/1845-0715
• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
