Travel Respiratory Therapist – Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment in Durham, North Carolina. This night‑shift contract requires a minimum of 5 years of respiratory therapy experience, a valid RRT credential, and current ACLS/BLS certifications.

Assignment Overview

• Start Date: July 13, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3 × 12‑hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Hours: 36 hrs per week
• Turnover: Local candidates within 75 miles accepted (lower pay)
• Openings: 1

Clinical Details

• Hospital respiratory therapy unit
• Patient population: neonates to geriatrics (pregnancies excluded)
• Patient‑to‑technician ratio: 1:30
• On‑call and weekend coverage required (every other or every third weekend)
• Floating duties required

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Active RRT credential and NC state or Compact license held at consideration
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• 1 supervisory reference within the last year
• Full SSN and date of birth provided
• First‑time travelers not considered
