Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position requiring adult critical care and high-volume ED trauma experience.

Details

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy unit within a 767-bed facility
• Treats respiratory patients throughout the hospital including SICU, CCU, CVICU, ED, Neuro, and Trauma units
• Pediatric patients are stabilized in the ED and transported to a sister hospital
• Uses Avea ventilators, LTV transport, V60 Bipap, Vapotherm, and Airvo high flow equipment
• EPIC EMR system used
• Night shift, 3x12 schedule, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend hours and call requirements as needed by facility
• Floating as required by facility
• Patient ratios based on a point system dependent on staffing

Requirements

• RRT licensure with Missouri Board for Respiratory Care required (license required if applicable)
• BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required
• PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy
• Adult critical care experience required

• Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required November 1 through April 1, with no declinations accepted
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted, though local contract and radius rules may apply
