American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment in Oklahoma City, OK. This 12-week night shift position supports a Level II Trauma Service, including ECMO and lung transplant patients.

Requirements include 2+ years of experience, active RRT/RCP licenses (OK license required), and certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP). Night shifts are 12 hours, 3x per week.

Responsibilities

• Care for lung transplant patients.
• Maintain patient ratio around 1:20 in an adult CC setting.
• Float to other units within 75-mile radius as needed.

Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position supporting a Level II Trauma Service, including ECMO and lung transplant patients.

Details

• 12-week travel assignment in the Respiratory Care/RRT department
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:30-7:00)
• Patient population includes ER and Level II Trauma Services patients
• Performs bedside bronchoscopy, bedside percutaneous/cricothyrotomy trachs, ECMO, Nitric Oxide, and Veletri administration
• Cares for lung transplant patients
• Patient ratio of 1:20
• Epic charting system preferred
• Floating required to other units or Integris facilities within a 75-mile radius

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• RRT and RCP license required (license required if applicable)
• Active Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Adult critical care experience required
• Skilled in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Experience with airway management including intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Proficient in drawing and interpreting arterial blood gases
• Experience with medication delivery systems including nebulizers and MDIs
• Current driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address within the last 3 months required for consideration
• Two supervisory references required
• Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care services within an adult critical care setting supporting trauma and transplant patients
• Participate in inter-departmental and ambulance patient transport as needed
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed per 13-week assignment, with no holiday or blackout date requests
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
• Former Integris employees must have a minimum 1-year separation to be eligible
• Black scrub color required
• ER candidates must have or be willing to obtain NIHSS and ESI certifications
