Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist for Elk City, Oklahoma. This 13-week contract requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, supporting the local healthcare network and COVID-19 response efforts.

The role emphasizes patient safety, teamwork with physicians and nurses, and adaptable coverage for travel assignments across the region. You will develop and ensure patient care plans, perform respiratory therapies, and document care accurately.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommending a treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Performing timely and accurate documentation.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist to help us to provide quality patient care during this COVID 19 Crisis. As a member of the Respiratory Team, develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists.
