Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract in Tallahassee, FL. The role requires nights, 12-hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, with a compensation package that may include a crisis rate depending on assignment.

As part of the Respiratory Team, you will develop and ensure patient care plans in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists, contributing to quality care during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families
• At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Teaching and counseling patients/families
