Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 14-week, full-time assignment. The role involves respiratory care from neonates to adults, in coordination with the care team, on a DAY shift (7am–7pm).

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy is required, with active Virginia state license, NBRC RRT, and BLS at hire. Prior NICU/PICU experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• State license and NBRC RRT certification required; active BLS at hire.
• Travel/temporary assignment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physician-directed respiratory care to patients from neonates to adults in various settings.
• Assess, monitor, and treat patients per established protocols and care plans.
• Collaborate with nursing and health care teams to ensure safe and effective respiratory care.

Responsible for the appropriate age specific assessment and treatment of patients. May have access to, or oversight of Protected Health Information (PHI) in the course of carrying out position duties.Associates or Bachelor's degree required. Non degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.State license, active NBRC RRT and BLS required at time of hire.
