JOB DESCRIPTIONDepartment: 4 South Surgical Nursing
Shift Timings: 18:45-07:15 Hours 3 days 12 hour shift (Monday- Friday)
Per Week: 36 Hours
30 bed Stroke, Urology unit; Navy or maroon scrubs; Epic charting
Responsibilities- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications- BLS and ACLS
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Telemetry experience.
- Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
- Active unencumbered RN Illinois state license
- One year of Epic experience
