• Driver’s License required for submission to be considered.
• Must have:
• Active Illinois (IL) RN license in hand
• EPIC experience
• Preferred:
• Travel RN experience
  

Local Candidates

• Accepted if residing within 20 miles of the facility.

Interview Process

• Clinical prescreen required
• If recommended, the hiring manager has 24 hours to accept or decline.
• No second interview will be conducted.
  
  

Department Details – Med Tele RN

• Unit Size: 31 beds
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Required Certification: BLS
  
  

Common Diagnoses

• CHF
• Strokes
• Chest pain
• Diabetes Mellitus (DM)
• Pneumonia (PN)
• COPD
• Detox cases
• Underlying cardiac conditions
• Post-Cath Lab recoveries
  
  

Experience Required

• Radial band and femoral cath recoveries
  
  

Medication/Drip Info

• RN titration: Not required
• Common drips: Lasix, Heparin, Bumex, Protonix, Octreotide
  
  

Monitoring

• RNs read telemetry
• Centralized Tele Tech available for assistance
  
  

Support Staff

• Team Lead (days): Does not take patients
• Charge Nurse (nights/weekends/holidays): Takes patients
• Nurse Aides: Present with 1:10-12 ratio
  
  

Respiratory Therapy/Equipment

• CPAP/BiPAP (intermittent use only)
  
  

Shifts & Scheduling

• Shift: 12-hour shifts (5:00 - 5:00)
• Schedule created by Team Lead
• Accommodations made when possible
• Mid-schedule starts will be filled in
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Weekend: Every other
• Holiday: Every other
• Call/Standby: None
• Floating: To medical floors or step-down units (tele-level patients only)
