Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines.
• Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in planning and delivering care.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments per orders, and document care accurately.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team; ensure safe handoffs and continuity of care.
