Job summary

Trinity Health’s FirstChoice nursing program in Centerville, IA, seeks RNs for mobile staffing assignments across the health system. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts, float between hospitals and regions, and provide high-quality care in various settings.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, active RN license, and 18 months (Med Surg/Tele/PCU) or 2+ years in other specialties, plus required credentials (ACLS/TNCC/PALS/BLS). Travel and per diem opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure in the applicable state(s) of practice.
• Minimum 18 months of recent clinical experience in Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience for specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, ED and Behavioral Health.
• Credentials required per specialty area (ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple locations/regions as needed.
• Assess, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Act independently within license and scope of knowledge.
• Delegate, make decisions and own outcomes.

• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice: Assess, Outcomes Identification / Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate


• Acts independently & appropriately within license, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area


• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes


• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes


• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities


• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.


• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.


• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.


• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.


• Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (ex: ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
