About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long-Term Care (LTC) for a contract position in Dubuque, IA. In this role, you will deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment, managing chronic condition care plans, preventive health, and day-to-day wellness.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and continuously monitor residents for health status changes
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy according to physician orders
- Perform wound care, skin integrity assessments, and pressure ulcer prevention strategies
- Identify acute changes in condition, elevate as necessary, and update care plans accordingly
- Collaborate closely with physicians, physical/occupational therapists, and social workers to coordinate interdisciplinary care
- Accurately document all care, treatments, and resident responses within the facility's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Provide clear education and guidance to residents and their families regarding care plans, safety, and condition management
Education & Licensure
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa (or an active Compact/NLC state license)
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
- Certified Gerontological Nurse (CGN) or related gerontology credential (Preferred)
Experience & Skills
- Prior nursing experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting
- Proven experience in chronic disease management and geriatric nursing
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and care coordination tools
- Strong clinical communication, time management, and documentation skills
