Job summary

MercyOne Davenport Medical Center in Iowa is seeking experienced RNs for FirstChoice mobile staffing. This part-time, 12-hour night shift offers premium pay and maximum scheduling flexibility across hospital locations and regions.

As a FirstChoice RN, you will provide high-quality nursing care, maintain licensure, and meet specialty credential requirements. Travel and per diem opportunities are available, with license/certifications reimbursed per assignment and DailyPay benefit.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice.
• Minimum 18 months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience for Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.
• Credentials per specialty area (ACLS, TNCC, etc); BLS/ACLS/PALS must be through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float across hospital locations and regions as needed.
• Assess, outcomes identification/solutions, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Act independently within license and scope of knowledge.
• Delegate, make decisions and own outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.

What you will do

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice: Assess, Outcomes Identification / Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate
• Acts independently & appropriately within license, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.
• Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (ex: ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
