Job summary

FirstChoice at Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution seeks experienced Registered Nurses for flexible, premium compensation assignments. The role involves floating across St.

Joseph Regional Medical Center Mishawaka and other locations within the system, with 3x12 days shifts and 13-week blocks. We require RN licensure in the applicable state, 18 months of Med/Surg, Tele, PCU experience (2+ years for other specialties), plus necessary ACLS/BLS/PALS credentials.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing degree and RN licensure in applicable state(s).
• 18 months minimum recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU; 2 years for all other specialties.
• Credentials per specialty (e.g., ACLS, TNCC, PALS) must be maintained; BLS/ACLS/PALS via American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float across the hospital and multiple locations/regions.
• Follow standard nursing process: Assess, Identify outcomes, Plan, Implement, Evaluate.
• Act independently within scope of license and experience.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support quality and improvement outcomes.
• Be flexible and willing to take on new responsibilities.

What you will do:

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions

• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice: Assess, Outcomes Identification / Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate

• Acts independently & appropriately within license, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area

• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes

• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes

• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities

• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.

• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.

• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.

• Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (ex: ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
