Job summary

MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center in Iowa is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for FirstChoice staffing. Part-time, day shift, with premium compensation and maximum flexibility across the health system.

FirstChoice RNs are deployed to fill short and long-term assignments nationwide and regionally; you’ll float across hospital locations with a focus on quality care, professional practice standards, and adaptable, patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in applicable state(s).
• Minimum 18 months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including CCU, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, ED and Behavioral Health.
• Credentials required per specialty area (ACLS, TNCC, etc); BLS/ACLS/PALS through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout hospital locations and regions as needed.
• Apply standard elements of professional practice: Assess, Identify outcomes, Plan, Implement, Evaluate.
• Act independently within license, scope of knowledge and experience.
• Maintain accountability for delegation, decisions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.
• Show agility and willingness to take on new responsibilities.
• Adapt to new ideas and manage competing priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of eighteen (18) months of recent clinical experience for Med Surg, Tele and PCU.
• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical experience for all remaining specialties including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department and Behavioral Health.
• Required to have and maintain the credentials required per their specialty area (ex: ACLS, TNCC, etc). BLS, ACLS and PALS must be obtained through American Heart Association
