Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking Travel Registered Nurses for temporary 14-week assignments across Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Sentara Heart Hospital and Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA.

Available units include Med/Surg, ICU, Cardiac, Emergency and more with day, night, and rotating shifts offering premium pay up to $70/hr.

Required: Virginia or Compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and 2+ years of acute care RN experience.

Qualifications

• Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing field is required.
• Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN license in good standing is required; BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale are required.

• Med/Surg (6K) – Day or Night shift ($65/hr)
• Oncology Stepdown Intermediate Care (6RP) – Night shift ($70/hr)
• Vascular Stepdown Intermediate Care – Day or Night shift ($70/hr)
• Stepdown Intermediate Care (10K) – Night shift ($70/hr)
• Burn Trauma Intermediate Care & Med/Surg (8RP) – Day or Night shift ($70/hr)
• Progressive Ventilator Stepdown (PVSU) – Day or Night shift ($70/hr)
• Cardiac Procedural/Surgical Intermediate Care (4HH East) – Day or Night shift ($70/hr)
• Cardiac Surgical Stepdown Intermediate Care (4HH West) – Day shift ($70/hr)
• Cardiac Advanced Heart Failure – Day or Night shift ($70/hr)
• General ICU – Night shift ($70/hr)
• Neuro ICU – Night shift ($70/hr)
• Burn Trauma/Vascular ICU – Day or Night shift ($70/hr)

• Med/Surg (5 East) – Night shift ($65/hr)
• Intermediate Care Stepdown – Night shift ($70/hr)
• Emergency Department – Night shift ($70/hr)

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale

Experience

• Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience (for specialty units - 2+ years recent experience in specialty)
