Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a pediatric intensive care travel assignment in Phoenix, AZ. The contract runs 26 weeks starting 09/28/2026 with a guaranteed 36 hours per week.

The shift is 3x12 rotating; location is hospital-based PICU/NICU with potential float across metro-area NICU/PICU. Responsibilities include providing professional nursing care, collaborating with the care team, monitoring critical status, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Arizona or compact state with multistate privileges.
• BLS and PALS certification; NRP preferred.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in pediatric CVICU.
• Experience floating to NICU and PICU; children's hospital experience preferred.
• Education: ADN, BSN, or Diploma in Nursing.
• Must start 09/28/2026 and complete 26-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to pediatric patients in PICU, including assessment, monitoring, and interventions per the plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to implement evidence-based care and adjust plans as patient conditions change.
• Monitor critical patient status, manage medications, and support ventilator or vasoactive infusions as indicated.
• Document patient status and progress; ensure accurate handoffs and participate in family education and discharge planning.
• Float between NICU and PICU as needed, adapting to unit-specific protocols while maintaining patient safety.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Licensure: Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges, or ability to establish licensure per Arizona law prior to start date.
• Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association); NRP preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in pediatric CVICU. Experience in a hospital with Level III or IV NICU strongly preferred. Experience floating to NICU and PICU; children’s hospital experience preferred.
• Education: ADN, BSN, or Diploma in Nursing.
• Eligibility to work in listed setting: Travel assignment in a hospital-based pediatric critical care environment; ability to float between NICU and PICU as required.
• Start date and assignment specifics: Must be able to start on 09/28/2026 and complete the 26-week contract.
