Start date is 09/28/2026, and assignments may float among CVICU, NICU, and PICU across Phoenix locations. The ideal candidate holds an Arizona RN license (or compact state), BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, plus 2+ years in pediatric critical care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license or compact-state privileges.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in pediatric critical care; NICU exposure valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in PICU, CVICU, and NICU per care plans.
• Monitor patient status, interpret findings, and respond to changes per protocols.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage life-support equipment as directed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in rounds.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in medical records.

Registered Nurse – PICU, Phoenix, Arizona. Start date: 09/28/2026. Contract duration: 26 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,634-$2,756 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 rotating (7:00 am-7:30 pm or 7:00 pm-7:30 am). Setting: hospital-based travel assignment with unit responsibilities across pediatric critical care units. This assignment is managed through ShiftWise Flex; all compliance, billing, and assignment management will be handled by that program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in PICU, CVICU, and NICU per individualized plans of care
• Monitor patient status, interpret findings, and respond to changes in condition following evidence-based protocols
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage life-support equipment as directed; monitor ventilator care as applicable
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including families, physicians, and ancillary staff; participate in rounds and updates to the plan of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record; ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements
• Promote safety, infection prevention, and high-quality care; respond to emergencies per hospital policy

Requirements

• Active Arizona RN license or compact-state license with multistate privileges prior to start
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association)
• PALS (American Heart Association)
• Advanced NRP certification
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in pediatric critical care; Level III or IV NICU hospital experience preferred
• ADN, BSN or Diploma in Nursing; ability to work in a hospital setting and float between CVICU, NICU, and PICU
