Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit in Marysville, CA. This travel assignment runs for 10 weeks with 36 guaranteed hours per week and a 4x10-hour shift pattern.

Start date is 10/26/2026. Requires California RN license, BLS, ACLS at hire, EPIC experience, and 2+ years of RN experience. Assignment support and credentialing assistance provided by the agency.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (or state of practice).
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification required at time of hire.
• EPIC experience required.
• Demonstrated competency in dysrhythmia management during orientation (except for OB/NICU areas).
• At least two years of recent RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to PACU patients using the nursing process.
• Monitor vitals, airway, respiration, and hemodynamics; administer analgesia and antiemetics as ordered.
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical team to implement postoperative plan and ensure safety.
• Document assessments, interventions, and progress in EPIC; participate in discharge planning and education.
• Delegate tasks to licensed/unlicensed staff per scope of practice; maintain a safe environment.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate per policy.

Overview

Registered Nurse – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) in Marysville, CA. This travel assignment starts on 10/26/2026 and runs for 10 weeks, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. For the assignment, you will work a 4x10-hour shift schedule. The setting is a Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Weekly pay ranges from $2,174 to $2,334 per week. This position is for temporary travel within Healthforce Healthcare LLC’s network.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to PACU patients across the age range assigned to the unit, using the nursing process to guide care
• Monitor postoperative patients’ vital signs, airway status, respiratory function, and hemodynamics; administer and manage analgesia and antiemetics as ordered
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers and the surgical team to implement the postoperative plan of care and ensure patient safety
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record (EPIC); participate in discharge planning and patient/family education
• Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed or unlicensed staff according to scope of practice; maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly, escalating concerns per policy and protocol
