Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse - Orthopedics for a 13-week travel assignment in Lancaster, PA. Start date 11/17/2026 with 40 guaranteed hours per week and a 4x10-hour shift pattern (7:00am–5:30pm or 9:00am–7:30pm depending on department needs).

Responsibilities include perioperative and inpatient care, pre-op assessment, intraoperative support, post-op recovery, patient education, and collaboration with surgical teams.

Competenze

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania (PA).
• BSN degree required.
• Orthopedic or perioperative nursing experience preferred.
• Hospital setting with flexibility to department needs (7:00am–5:30pm or 9:00am–7:30pm).
• Weekend rotation and on-call participation required; must arrive within 30 minutes.

Overview

Weekly pay range: $2,521-$2,613 per week with guaranteed hours of 40. Shift: 4x10-hour days (typical hours 7:00am–5:30pm or 9:00am–7:30pm depending on department needs). This is a travel - temporary assignment with no block schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for orthopedic patients across perioperative and inpatient care, including pre-op assessment, intraoperative support, post-op recovery, and discharge planning as assigned.
• Monitor patient status with ongoing assessments, document findings in the medical record, administer medications as ordered, manage pain control and wound care, and assist with mobility and rehab goals.
• Collaborate with perioperative and surgical teams to support ortho procedures in the main OR; assist with general surgery cases as needed and support efficient turnover with strict adherence to sterile technique.
• Participate in weekend rotation: one 8-hour shift every 3rd weekend; weekend call is required for ortho cases and may involve general surgery cases; rotation determined by weekend team assignment.
• Respond to call notifications within 30 minutes of the call; may be required to cover late calls after shifts to complete cases.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance; provide patient and family education about perioperative care and recovery expectations.

Requirements
