Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR) for a travel assignment in Cumming, GA. Start date is 10/19/2026 for 13 weeks, with weekly pay between $1,740 and $1,819 and guaranteed 32 hours per week.

The role features 8-hour days, four days per week, in a hospital OR setting. Responsibilities include perfoming OR circulator duties, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia teams, intraoperative monitoring and documentation, and ensuring equipment readiness and sterile

Qualifications

• Active GA RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience.
• AHA BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN acceptable).
• Ability to work in a hospital OR environment; prolonged standing and mobility; float to other OR areas.
• Strong communication, teamwork and patient safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform OR circulator duties across assigned ORs, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety throughout perioperative care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team for patient positioning and instrument handling.
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, document events, and communicate changes to the team.
• Verify patient identity, consent, and site; assist with transport and turnover between cases; document intraoperative events.
• Assist with room setup, instrument counts, and readiness of equipment and implants; ensure proper cleaning of reusable supplies.
• Holiday coverage: work two major holidays among Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day; rotate late coverage and float as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform OR circulator duties across assigned ORs, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety throughout perioperative care
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other perioperative team members to ensure patient positioning, instrumentation, and specimen handling are accurate and timely
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, document events, and communicate changes to the team; assist with anticipatory planning for equipment and supplies
• Verify patient identity, consent, and site, and assist with patient transport and turnover between cases; maintain meticulous intraoperative documentation
• Assist with room setup, instrument counts, and readiness of all equipment and implants; ensure proper cleaning and handling of reusable supplies
• Holiday coverage: must work two major holidays among Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, and one minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve). Rotating late coverage and float to additional ORs as needed to meet scheduling needs

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience
• AHA BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (associates or BSN acceptable)
• Ability to work in a hospital OR environment, including periods of standing and moving for extended durations; ability to float to additional OR areas as needed
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient safety focus
