Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for Operating Room and PACU assignments in Clearlake, CA. This travel position features a 13-week contract with 40 hours per week and 4x10 shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM), plus on-call every third weekend.

The ideal candidate holds a California RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and 3+ years of OR/PACU experience, with on-call availability and hospital setting adaptability. CNOR/PANAC/AAOPU credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

Active CA RN license is required.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
BLS required; ACLS and PALS required.
Minimum 3 years OR/PACU nursing experience.
Ability to work in OR/PACU in hospital setting and participate in on-call rotations.
Credentials in CNOR, PANAC, AAOPU preferred.
Willingness to meet facility vaccination and health requirements; E-Verify may be needed.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures and to PACU patients across the age spectrum.
Monitor patient status during perioperative periods, administer medications, and document care in accordance with policy.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team to plan and coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
Maintain sterile technique, manage instrument turnover, and support intraoperative safety protocols.
Assist with patient and family education, pain management, and post-anesthesia recovery needs.
Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards; participate in on-call rotations as scheduled.
