You will administer chemotherapy and related therapies, monitor patients, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in safety and infection control. Travel support and credentialing assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Chemotherapy certification.
• Availability for 7:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
• Willingness to travel and cover holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to oncology patients, including adults receiving chemotherapy and supportive therapies.
• Administer prescribed chemotherapy and other oncologic medications per protocol, with strict safety and asepsis.
• Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, and respond to changes in condition.
• Manage symptoms, adverse effects, and comfort measures; coordinate IV therapies and venous access as required.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatment plans, symptom management, and discharge planning.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient education accurately; provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and safety.
• Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements; ensure accurate administration records.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment
• Willingness to work 2 major Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (e.g., the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve)
