Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse – Oncology to join a hospital-based oncology unit in Cumming, Georgia. This travel assignment runs for 13 weeks starting 11/02/2026 with 40-hour weeks and day shifts.

The role involves direct cancer care, chemotherapy administration, vitals monitoring, and coordination with the care team. Eligible candidates have an active RN license, 2 years oncology experience, BLS and chemotherapy certification, and are prepared for travel.

Qualifikationen

• Current, active RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Chemotherapy certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced oncology setting.
• Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment.

Aufgaben

• Provide direct, patient-centered care to oncology patients, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation.
• Administer chemotherapy and related infusions and medications per established protocols; manage infusion devices and central venous access as needed.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and treatment-related side effects; implement immediate interventions as required.
• Assess patient condition, vitals, labs, and symptoms; communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on treatment regimens, expected side effects, symptom management, and discharge planning.
• Maintain strict infection control, neutropenic precautions, and safe handling of chemotherapy with appropriate safety protocols.
• Document consistently in the electronic medical record; participate in shift handoffs and care coordination across the care team.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other clinicians to optimize treatment outcomes and patient experience.
