JOB DESCRIPTION
Department : Oncology Surgical Unit
Shift Timings : 19 : 00 - 07 : 30 Hours Monday to Friday 3 days 12 hours shift
Per Week : 36 Hours
Care of 4-6 patients on busy 49 bed surgical unit,
Length of Stay : average 2-5 days.
Monitoring patient recovery after PACU, pain control, advancement of diet, bowel function return, intake and output, mobility, multiple administration of medications IV, PO, etc.
Responsibilities
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications
BLS and ACLS
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Renal Oncology experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
One year of Cerner experience
