Compensation includes pay per week, tax-free stipends, insurance options from day one, and travel/licensure reimbursements. A 13-week contract with start 12/22/2025 is offered.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• At least 2 years of RN experience, with prior IICU/ICU experience and 1:3 acuity
• Experience in cardiac monitoring and ventilator management
• Epic charting experience (1 year) required

Responsibilities

• Work in an IMC/IICU within a hospital setting
• Care for adult trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology patients
• Maintain 1:3 patient-to-staff ratio
• Operate specialized equipment (e.g., Hercules repositioners, ceiling lifts)
• Night shifts: three 12-hour shifts (7pm–7:30am)
• Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
• May float to other units or campuses as needed
• Utilize Epic EMR for charting and documentation
• Manage direct admissions, ICU transfers, and escalations
• Handle dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Intermediate Care position caring for adults with critical and progressive needs requiring advanced cardiac and ventilator management.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (IMC/IICU) within a hospital setting
• Cares for adult trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology patients requiring interventions every 1–2 hours
• Patient ratio is 1:3
• Uses specialized equipment including Hercules patient re-positioners, ceiling lifts, and Airtaps
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30)
• Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required
• Epic EMR is used with 1 year of Epic experience required
• Manage direct admissions, ICU transfers, and escalations from Rapid Response Teams
• Must be proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for night shift travel assignments; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application and are subject to approval

Requirements

• Active SC or compact state RN license

• Experience in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and ventilator management required
• Prior titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips required

• For first-time travelers, 3 years’ specialty experience and critical care background required
• Will consider Progressive Care, PCU, DOU, IMC, or Stepdown experience based on acuity
