Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) position requiring a GA or compact license, BLS, ACLS, and at least one year of recent ICU or critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown/IMCU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks with possible extension
• Requires some weekend and holiday coverage
• Patient population includes stepdown-level/critical care patients
• Duties include IV starts, lab draws and sample collection, and titrating critical drips
• Required to wear royal blue scrubs, not provided by the facility
• Pre-assignment modules must be completed via HealthStream prior to start
• Minimal to no RTO preferred, especially around holidays
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Locals within 31-50 miles are accepted but at a local rate

Requirements

• Active GA or compact state RN license required prior to assignment start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum one year of recent critical care or ICU RN experience required
• Experience with intermediate care skills, IV starts, and titrating drips required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred but not required
• Will not accept candidates residing within 30 miles of the facility
• Candidates must provide a copy of Driver’s License for residence verification
