Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines
• Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry and vital signs, and respond to changes with critical thinking and professional judgment
• Administer medications and therapies, manage IV lines and devices, and oversee ventilator support as appropriate
• Document care thoroughly in the electronic medical record; participate in care planning and discharge planning
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient- and family-centered care
