Responsibilities

• Administer medications, IV therapies, fluids, and treatments; interpret telemetry strips and respond to rhythm changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other team members to implement and adjust care plans; document care in the EMR.
• Monitor patient status, ensure safety and comfort, manage equipment, and assist with procedures; assist with discharge planning or admissions.
• Respond to emergencies using ACLS/TNCC protocols and participate in patient and family communication.

• Respond to emergencies using established protocols (ACLS/TNCC guidelines) and participate in ongoing patient and family communication

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license


• 2+ years telemetry experience


• 1 year of prior travel nursing experience


• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC; PALS or ENPC (equivalency) also acceptable


• Must be able to read telemetry strips


• Flu vaccine required during onboarding (declinations not accepted)


• Telemetry skills assessment (pass/fail) on first day; failure could affect assignment


• Must have been separated from the most recent employer for at least 6 months
