Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to ED patients, including triage and stabilization.

• Collaborate with physicians and staff to coordinate diagnostics and procedures.
• Ensure patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and accurate documentation.
• Support discharge planning and family education as needed.
• Maintain readiness for rapid escalation of care in a fast-paced ED.

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Clearlake, CA. Start date: 09/28/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,118 per week to $2,175 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 nights (6:00 PM–6:30 AM). Setting: Critical Access Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to ED patients, including triage, assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders; manage patient responses and document in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to stabilize patients and coordinate timely diagnostic testing and procedures
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, HIPAA compliance, and accurate documentation; communicate changes in patient status to the care team
• Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and appropriate referrals as needed
• Maintain readiness for rapid escalation of care and perform duties in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (current)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• At least one year of RN experience within the last 24 months and acute critical care experience within the last 12 months, OR EMT and ED Tech with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, in good standing
• EPIC experience required
• MICN within one year of hire is desirable; MICN, NRP, TNCC, and CEN are encouraged
• Basic computer skills and ability to work in a busy ED setting
• Ability to work 6:00 PM–6:30 AM and meet the 36-hour weekly guarantee
