Healthforce Healthcare LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Endoscopy for a 13-week travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. Start date is 10/26/2026 with guaranteed hours and a weekly pay range of $2,683 to $2,863. Shift runs 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, five days a week, in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting.

The role requires CA RN license, BLS and ACLS, and GI/endoscopy experience. Travel support and dedicated recruiter assistance are provided.

Formación

• Active RN license in California
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• GI/endoscopy experience preferred; at least 1 year GI experience required
• Fast-paced GI/endoscopy environment; strong assessment and critical-thinking skills

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and set up equipment for GI procedures (bronchoscopy, EUS, EBUS)
• Assist physician or provider during diagnostic/therapeutic GI procedures
• Monitor patients during procedures and manage recovery post-sedation
• Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up education
• Conduct pre-procedure assessments within 30 minutes of arrival
• Review medical history and care plans; communicate needs to team
• Maintain endoscopy equipment knowledge and infection control practices
• Demonstrate competency with endoscope manipulation and manage complications
• Uphold hospital policies for sedation and patient safety

Overview Registered Nurse – Endoscopy in San Luis Obispo, CA. Start date 10/26/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours and a weekly pay range of $2,683 to $2,863 per week. Shift is 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (8-hour day), five days per week. Assignment conducted in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. This position is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up equipment for GI procedures, including bronchoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and Endobronial Ultrasound (EBUS)
• Assist the physician and/or advanced provider during Diagnostic and Therapeutic GI procedures to promote optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing alterations in physiological and psychological status; manage recovery and discharge criteria post-sedation
• Provide clear, concise discharge instructions and follow-up education for patients and families
• Conduct pre-procedure assessment including physical and social history within 30 minutes of patient arrival
• Review medical history, nursing care plans, and available data; communicate patient needs to the care team
• Maintain knowledge of endoscopy equipment and supplies, ensuring proper cleaning, handling, and infection control practices
• Demonstrate competency with endoscope manipulation and respond to potential complications under the endoscopist’s direction
• Uphold hospital policies for minimal/moderate sedation and patient safety throughout the peri-procedural process

Requirements

• License: Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; facility- or policy-approved BLS. AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS as required
• Education: High School/GED accepted; Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience; GI/endoscopy experience preferred; at least 1 year of GI experience required
• General: Ability to work in a fast-paced GI/endoscopy environment; strong assessment and critical-thinking skills; adherence to infection control and patient safety standards
