Job summary
Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse, Endoscopy for San Luis Obispo, CA. This 13-week contract starts 11/02/2026, with weekly pay ranging from $2,791 to $2,857 and approximately 40 hours per week in a hospital Endoscopy setting.
The nurse will support bronchoscopy, EUS, and EBUS procedures, monitor patients during procedures, provide post-procedure instructions, and ensure safe discharge per clinical data and protocols.
Qualifications
- Active California RN license.
- Endoscopy/procedural nursing experience or interest.
- Ability to work rotating shifts in hospital/endoscopy.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and equipment handling.
- Effective patient education and communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Support bronchoscopy, EUS, and EBUS procedures with patient monitoring before, during and after; ensure safe recovery.
- Monitor status during procedures; respond to changes to ensure patient safety and discharge criteria.
- Provide clear post-procedure instructions and assist with follow-up education.
- Interpret diagnostic data from labs, radiology, and EKGs to inform care plans.
- Maintain familiarity with endoscopy equipment and infection control practices.
