Cross Country Nurses in the United States seeks an Endoscopy Laboratory RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Denver. You will provide nursing care and patient safety during endoscopic procedures, with or without sedation, while serving as a resource for students and new team members.

The role emphasizes strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and efficiency skills, collaboration with pre-operative care RNs, adherence to aseptic principles, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS (AHA) required.
• ACLS (AHA) required.
• Valid compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Supports, educates, and reassures patients and their families throughout procedures.
• Collaborates with pre-operative care RNs to assess patient needs and procedure requirements.
• Develops and implements plans of care and communicates updates to the team and family.
• Uses aseptic principles and monitors compliance during procedures.
• Integrates theory into practice and focuses on evidence-based care to improve outcomes.
• Participates in quality evaluations and improves patient care and environment.
• Assists with inventory management and documents equipment usage for billing and control.
• Performs other clinical duties and may float to other units as needed.
• May be on-call during scheduled shifts.

• Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment start date;

• Uses aseptic principles during procedures, monitoring compliance and initiating corrective actions when necessary
• Integrates theoretical knowledge into clinical practice, focusing on evidence-based research to improve patient outcomes
• Participates in quality evaluations and contributes to activities aimed at enhancing patient care and the healthcare environment
• Assists with inventory management and documents equipment and supply usage for accurate billing and control
• Performs other clinical duties as assigned and may float to other departments or nursing units within scope of competency based on operational needs
• May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts
